  In January of 2021, all was quiet in the Brit Towers chats, yet at the HQ the Commish and Assistant Commish had a conversation. A questions was posed. How can we have our standalone draft board and not use Sleeper? Fast forward to November 2021, with the season in full swing and teams heading into Week 9, that question took a step closer to becoming reality. In January/February 2022 a group of 16 GM's from across the leagues have been invited to test a new Brit Towers Draft Board concept which, if successful, would make all the leagues a "standalone" universe with no need to use an app. Today, we are able to share a few graphics as to how the Brit Towers Draft Board - version 1.0 looks: THE DRAFT BOARD This is the main draft board (BFFL teams have been used in this example on version 1.0) 1.   Hopes were high and enthusiasm bubbled after the Week 1 results. The teams sped into Week 2 and then the injuries hit. There were a lot of nervous GM's throughout the leagues over the weekend as they waited for the scores to come through. This was the first week of two weeks of divisional match-ups and getting one over on your rivals within your division sat top of the priority list.   That is Week 1 complete here at Brit Towers. As covered in previous league posts, this is a massive season for all the teams involved with the introduction of the promotion and relegation system between all the levels. It is one community. This is Brit Towers. Here is a round-up from around the leagues: The Brighton Sharks took the GM Of The Week award as they amassed 234 points against defending British champions, Essex Wolverines.  Brighton were the only South division team to win their games in Week 1 and head into next week's divisional match-ups hoping to keep their 100% record as they face their fierce rivals, Swindon Steam. The East Division teams dominated the other games and it is Medway Tigers who sit top, with a superior points for and they face second in their division, Cambridge Dragons, so one of these teams will be 100% going into Week 3. The West was business as usual as Bristol Trojans and Dudley Scorpions picked up their wins over teams in the North. Talkin...

  The last year in both personal, professional and health terms was a time none of us had ever encountered in our lives. Here at Brit Towers we had put everything in place to embark on our first season and at one point it looked as though we would have to postpone for a season, but the NFL schedule went ahead (be it with some tricky schedule changes and issues caused among rosters). The BFFL, BFC and BFA all competed over a 13 week regular season, two playoff berths (Divisional Playoff and Elimination Playoff) culminating in the Bowl Games.  The BFU had a different set up. They were the last league to be formed and each of the 32 teams were placed in four leagues of eight teams. Each team played each other twice in a 14 week regular season, with an Elimination Playoff and a Bowl game. The other added factor for the BFU teams was that the top 4 teams in each division (those who qualified for the playoffs) would then form the 2021 BFU with the bottom four teams forming the 2021 ...

  From the initial test of enquiring who would be interested in a "British" keeper style league, to forming the first league and now heading into our second season with 6 leagues and 96 teams, it has been one heck of a journey. Words which spring to mind when I look back over our first year are emotional, exciting, challenging, rewarding, tiring, fun, testing, joyous but ultimately 'successful'. At the start of this community, I really just wanted to build a fun place for fantasy football fans to engage and be part of something a little different. That word 'community' was not coined until a few weeks into the 2020 season, but it is a word which embodies everything which is the British Fantasy Football League. As a League Commissioner I try my upmost to promote this league in its best and most positive light as I can.
