WEEK 2 - BRIT TOWERS

Hopes were high and enthusiasm bubbled after the Week 1 results. The teams sped into Week 2 and then the injuries hit.

There were a lot of nervous GM's throughout the leagues over the weekend as they waited for the scores to come through.

This was the first week of two weeks of divisional match-ups and getting one over on your rivals within your division sat top of the priority list.

Here are the results and standings after Week 2 at Brit Towers.

  A new competition, separate from the league structures for 2021. The brain-child of Dan (Charlton Valiants) and Chris (Jurassic Coast Jackrabbits). QUICK 10 WITH.....JURASSIC COAST JACKRABBITS

The Jurassic Coast is a world heritage site, stretching from Exmouth to Studland Bay. The highest point is the Golden Cap between Bridport and Charmouth and charts an extraordinary look into the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. The Jackrabbits started life out as the Jurassic Coast Corsairs in the BFU. The GM, Chris, had to step down for a while but his love for the BFFL community brought him back. A spot became available in the BFA and it was from here the Jurassic Coast Jackrabbits and their now infamous hastag - #defendthisrun - was born. It was a rebuilding process last season for the Jackrabbits, formerly based in Weston, as they just missed out on a playoff spot in the BFA West. A BIG SEASON

  The 2021 season in the Brit Towers universe is going to be huge for many reasons across our six levels, mostly in part to the promotion and relegation system kicking in. This format did not exist for our inaugural 2020 season as the teams settled in to the top three levels, leaving 32 teams to compete in regional divisions within the BFU to decide who would form the fourth level BFU for 2021 and who would form the fifth level BFO. Add to this the addition of British Bulldog, our bestball format level, which will join the promotion and relegation system in 2022 and it is easy to see why this is such a big season.
