POWER RANKINGS - BFC

The first Power Rankings from the 2020 season were produced yesterday for our second level BFC.

Both the Bowl participants would take up the top two spots, but in third place were the BFU East champions who went out of the competition in the Divisional Playoffs.

In the top five, there are two teams from the West and one each from North, South and East. A spread of geographical teams in the BFC.

Bedfordshire Gladiators, with their narrow 5 point Bowl win over Cardiff Hydra ended the season and begin the 2021 season as the Power Ranked number one team in the BFC. Cardiff Hydra sit second after an equally strong regular season campaign and a strong playoff process.

Suffolk Eagles sit third, a team competing in a very tough BFC East which saw the division lead change hands multiple times over the course of the season. Although the Eagles were beaten in the Divisional Playoff by the Rochdale Rams, their strong regular season campaign sees them where they are in the Power Rankings.

Lower down the rankings Croydon Wildcats, who finished the season in 13th, were actually the number one Power Ranked team for Weeks two through to four.

Some teams will be looking ahead to the new season with new GM's installed either in the middle, towards the end or in the post-season. These teams are Redditch Raptors, Airdrie Kraken, Solihull Spartans, Wessex Monarchs and Chorlton Bees (who hold the number 1 pick in the BFC Draft).

These are the 2021 BFC Power Rankings heading into Week 1.
