7 DRAFT DAYS - DAY 3 - NUMBER 1 PICK BREAKDOWN
When Joe Burrow was selected with the first overall pick by the Bengals in the 2020 NFL Draft he was the first LSU player to be picked at number one since JaMarcus Russell in 2007.
If, as expected, Trevor Lawrence is taken by the Jaguars in the 2021 draft, he will be the first ever Clemson player to be taken with the first overall pick.

No team has ever gone from having the first overall pick to winning the Super Bowl in the same season.
The number one picks in the NFL Drafts are part of the fantastic history of the event and will continue to write history in years to come.
For the 2021 NFL Draft, writers, fans and analysts alike are agreed in the opinion that Trevor Lawrence will be selected by the Jaguars with the number one pick, but sport does have a knack of throwing up some unexpected incidents.
