BRITISH BULLDOG ENTERS 2021
A new level to the Brit Towers empire for 2021 is British Bulldog.
This league will not play the head-to-head format like the leagues above them, the British Bulldog teams will be a Bestball set-up, total points at the end of the season wins the league.
Initially the plan was to have this level as a buffer zone for when GM's leave teams in the five leagues above, but the interest it generated with many people wanting to be involved it morphed into another idea.
From 2022 the winner of British Bulldog will step up into the BFO and the team with the worst record in the BFO will move down to compete in British Bulldog, similar to how the non-league structure works in British soccer.
There are 15 teams competing in British Bulldog for 2021 and they will be the first league to draft on 12th June. As with the leagues above them, the British Bulldog teams will also be allowed to keep 8 players on their roster prior to the start of any new season and they will fall in line with draft orders and trading rules as with the other leagues. The only difference with this level is that they are Bestball.
The draft order has been decided and due to this being the first season the 15 teams will be in a snake draft format. The draft order for the 1st Round is as follows:
1. Carlisle Titans
2. Sheffield Falcons
3. Sussex Packers
4. Havant Rebels
5. North Herts Pumas
6. Greenwich Galaxy
7. Hamilton Demon Cats
8. Bradford Seahawks
9. Coatbridge Scimitars
10. Ascot Wildy Stallyns
11. Quantock Blue Jays
12. Palmers Green Gators
13. Cornish Wizards
14. Hereford Bulls
15. South London Saints
The Saints were the final team to join and the Hereford Bulls did compete under this name in the BFU last season but disbanded. They have been reformed for British Bulldog.
We would like to wish all these new teams the best of luck for 2021
